The Wonder Ballroom is a staple of Portland. Down stairs you have Cliffs PDX which from the outside looks like a speakeasy, where you can get your grub on and have a drink. As you approach the door you are sent up a corridor of stairs that take through a door to the main music hall. As I approached the stage you can feel the vibe of the crowd and surrounding the stage sits a banner that shows off album artwork from Iya Terra’s latest release Ease & Grace album.

The first band Cydeways approach the stage getting ready to rock the crowd. Cydeways is from Santa Barbara an alt-Reggie mash up that gets the crowd warmed up for what’s to come. They finish off their set with a cover of Cage the Elephant’s “Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked”.

Ciara-Camile “Camile” Roque Velasco known by her stage name Eli-Mac is a Filipino American singer song writer. She came in ninth place on the third season of American Idol. A great addition to this tour for her grass roots reggae sound. Playing tribute to her idols Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley respectfully. This band is tight in their sound and move well to the groove.

Iya Terra has gained a pretty big following in the Reggie community since their inception. California Natives residing in Los Angles, Iya Terra have been making moves in spreading love, peace, and harmony. Their message inside their music speaks to the heart, encapsulating the idea that we can live in a better world with love & respect for one another.

They are currently on the Ease and Grace tour with support Eli Mac & Cydeways.
