LIVE REVIEW: REO Speedwagon at Vibrant Arena in Moline, IL on September 6, 2022

REO Speedwagon is one of those bands that has stood the test of time through many years. September 6, 2022 at the Vibrant Arena in Moline, IL proved that they still do stand the test of time. Their energy and pure talent rival any of the younger bands I have seen over the years.
REO Speedwagon’s thirteen song set played like a Greatest Hits album. From the opening drumbeat of “Don’t Let Him Go”, to the piano and guitar riffs of the last song “Roll With the Changes”, they kept the crowd pumped throughout the show.
Kevin Cronin’s banter with the crowd, made you feel like you were hanging out with a friend while Bruce Hall and Dave Amato appeared to be having the time of their life like they were jamming out in the garage. Brian Hitt and founding member Neal Doughty looked like the serious ones keeping the music in line, but keeping everyone pumped up as well.
For this photographer/reviewer, the highlight of the night were the hits that go way back like “Keep Pushin'”, “Like You Do”, and of course “Ridin’ the Storm Out”. But the biggest reactions came to their biggest hits like, “Keep on Loving You”, “Can’t Fight This Feeling”, and “Time for Me to Fly”.
As always it was a great REO Speedwagon show and a great night in general. I hope they continue to tour as long as possible because everyone should be able to experience this band live at least once!
