After almost a decade away from touring, British rock band Placebo brought their rescheduled North American tour to the House of Blues in Dallas TX on May 8th with support act Poppy Jean Crawford.

First up was Poppy Jean Crawford, an indie rock singer from Los Angeles. Poppy’s set list included “The Takeover”, “Jonsies Gonsies”, “Same Old Tricks” and “Head over Heels” a Tears for Fears cover that got the crowd singing along.

Next up was British Alternative Rock band Placebo. At the beginning of the concert, you could hear lead vocalist Brian Molk, kindly asking fans to please keep phones away and to limit the video and picture taking in order to get to experience the show to its fullest and to keep other concert goers in mind since they paid to see a live show and not someone’s screen.

Placebo started the evening with “Forever Chemicals” followed by “Beautiful James” off of their album “Never Let Me Go”. Their set list included songs like “Happy Birthday in The Sky”, “Try Better Next Time”, “For What It’s Worth”, a beautiful cover of Tears for Fears ” Shout” and fan favorite “Fix Yourself”. Throughout the night you felt the positive energy the crowd had as they sang and danced along with Placebo.
