Location: Montage Music Hall – Rochester, New York
The evening began with the Charlotte, NC based Killakoi. They performed a seven song set including the newly released single “Get It Right”. The band performed with intense energy and showmanship and was a very entertaining group to begin the show.
Next up was the Maryland based quartet Any Given Sin. The group played a nine song set, which included their breakthrough song “Dynamite”. “Another Life” and “Insidious”, two of their other well known songs, were included. One of their final songs was their 2021 single, “The Way I Say Goodbye”. The vocals and instrumentals provided the audience with a great performance!
Los Angeles, Ca based Ra was next performing a twelve song set. This set included five songs from the newly released album, “Intercorupted”. Founding member Sahaj Ticotin was energized and gave a strong vocal performance. Additional founding member Skoota Warner laid down a solid drum beat and P. J. Farley had a smooth groove going on bass. The groups guitarist, Ben Carroll was unable to perform. Killakoi’s front man Jordan Mattacchione, stepped in for Ben with an admirable performance. The crowd really got into the cover of “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic”by the Police . As the evening grew the crowd participation increased! Reaching a high on the bands first hit ” Do You Call My Name” to close out the performance. It was a memorable show and a treat to see the bands in such a intimate setting!
