Artist: Maggie Lindemann
Date: November 12, 2021
Location: House of Blues – Chicago, IL
Opening for Madison Beer’s “Life Support” tour is 22-year-old singer-songwriter Maggie Lindemann, and we caught her at the Chicago, IL stop of the tour.
Maggie came out rocking and immediately reminded me of a young Avril Lavigne. Backed by the band Legacy 3, Maggie belted out the lyrics to “Knife Under My Pillow” off of her recently released debut EP PARANOIA. She followed this with “Scissorhands” and “Crash and Burn” also off of the EP.
Maggie looked completely at home on the stage and embraced the dark pop/rock vibe she was giving off. There were many fans of hers in the audience, and partway through her set, they gave her a flag to hold. Maggie instantly began to dance with it, and wave it around.
Throughout the rest of her set, Maggie played more songs off of her EP including “Loner” and “It’s Not Your Fault,” finishing with her newest single “She Knows It.”
Maggie Lindemann is a force of nature, and I know she will soon take over the punk/rock world. I recommend you see her before she starts selling out large venues.
