Jessie Murph took to the Basement East stage in Nashville last Friday for the second show on her fully sold-out Drowning tour. The Music City crowd was incredibly eager for her performance, with many fans having waited outside the venue for hours before the doors opened. As the clock struck 9pm, her band walked out as Jessie’s voice sang the opening lines to “I Would’ve”. As Jessie herself came out, the room was instantly lit up by hundreds of phone lights from her fans. The room was rockin’ as she launched into “Drunk in the Bathtub” and “About You” off of her recently released mixtape drowning. Fans were in for a special night as she teased even newer music. Murph performed multiple unreleased songs as well as a variety of unique covers, from French Montana’s “Unforgettable” to Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats”, which had the Nashville crowd singing along to every word. She closed the show with her hit song “Always Been You” and followed with an encore of “How Could You” and “Where Do You Go”. If you managed to score tickets to a show on the sold-out Drowning tour, prepare for an incredible night from one of music’s newest upcoming stars.
