Rock band Shop Front Heroes shares debut album ‘SuperPowers’
Shop Front Heroes, a five-piece original rock band hailing from the picturesque landscapes of Mid-Wales, came together in 2017. The band comprises Stevie Yeomans (Lead Vocals, Guitar, and Piano), Jake Owen (Lead Guitar/Vox), Matt Whitehouse (Drums), Tom Jaques (Guitar/Vox), and, joining full-time in the summer of 2022, Alex Middleton (Bass).
Distinguished by their commitment to creating carefully orchestrated, genre-defying music, Shop Front Heroes brings a fusion of rock, pop, classic rock, and alternative influences to the table. With big vocals and a sound that leans towards the epic and grandiose, their musical journey is an exploration of emotions and experiences.
Their debut album, SuperPowers, released in December 2023, was recorded at the iconic Rockfield Studios. It was mixed by Stew Jackson (known for his work with Massive Attack and Emily Breeze) and mastered by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios (credited with works by The Beatles, Queen, and Radiohead). It showcases a diverse range of musical styles and influences, making it an interesting and engaging listen.
