Noah Kahan brought the first 2023 leg of his Stick Season tour through the Ryman Auditorium last week and had the Mother Church rocking all night long. He took the stage and kicked things into high gear with a setlist-staple, “False Confidence” off his debut album Busyhead. He kept the energy high, diving into songs off his latest record Stick Season, playing “All My Love” and “Everywhere, Everything” back to back. Around a third of the way through the set, it was about time for a surprise Nashville guest to come out. Past collaborator, Joy Oladokun joined Noah on stage to perform a beautiful cover of Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit’s “If We Were Vampires”. This set the tone for the next few songs as things slowed down for “Maine” and “Come Over”. Another surprise was in store for the Ryman crowd, as Briston Maroney joined Kahan on the stage to sing “She Calls Me Back”. The evening wrapped up with an incredible encore, featuring fan-favorites “The View Between Villages”, “Stick Season”, and “Mess”. The fully sold out Stick Season tour should not be missed as it rolls across the country the rest of the year.
